What will you be doing?
Microsoft and InMobi have entered into partnership, as per which, InMobi will be the preferred partner for Microsoft’s Search and Audience Inventory (Native Display, Video and CTV). Microsoft Advertising empowers the largest advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through Search, Native, Video and Display advertising on Microsoft platforms and inventory. InMobi will be responsible for sales and development followed by end to end management of these client activities.
We are seeking a top performing Sales Manager with online advertising/Sales experience who can drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction by developing and cultivating strategic client relationships and delivering customized branding solutions by aligning to the client’s advertising needs.
The Sales Manager for display advertising enables Microsoft to better serve strategic customers by applying customer obsession to what clients care about and need, ensuring our Microsoft story is valued and understood, and acting to build successful, long-term relationships. The Sales Manager drives both revenue and customer satisfaction.
The Sales Manager drives new account acquisition and grows incremental revenue against a targeted list of high potential agencies through engagement. In conjunction with the Central teams and Account Managers, Sales Manager develops quality customer plans laying out revenue and customer satisfaction growth strategies. Success is measured by specific key performance indicators focused on driving product adoption, emphasizing customer experience and optimizing opportunities. In addition, the Sales Manager builds and maintains a pipeline of clients and agencies new to the Microsoft Audience Network proposition.
What is expected out of you?
- Healthy predictable pipeline to deliver quota expectations: Consistently create high value revenue-generating opportunities. Lead regular, impactful engagements with key clients.
- Grow Microsoft Advertising's share of wallet across client portfolio by highlighting missed opportunities around Branding activities. Create a convincing storyline and pitch which will help client-side decision makers to meet or exceed their marketing goals.
- Leverage current relationships in the advertising ecosystem to drive adoption conversations as well as open up new relationships in the industry.
- Forge relationships with client-side marketing heads and build industry presence for yourself and the products.
- Fluent advocate of the Microsoft Story: Educate clients on how Microsoft Ad features and offerings help them to reach their business goals and new markets/targets. Utilize all available readiness materials (inclusive of Marketing materials, Training & other GTM assets) and insights to ensure you are a fluent advocate of the Microsoft Advertising story. Develop and demonstrate an intermediate to expert level knowledge of emerging products/features.
- Strong customer and partner Planning: Develop and maintain high quality, actionable Customer Plans (where applicable) and Joint Business Plans (where applicable). Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs, challenges/concerns and goals/objectives. Develop a cohesive action plan to address those opportunities. Agreed plan with customer. Review quarterly with management. Lead execution of all agreed Account Plan/JBP action items. Ensures follow-through by all participants.
- Collaborative and high-performing account team: Coordinate with Account Manager Head to ensure timely and proactive customer escalations by effectively leveraging internal partner network to resolve Account escalations & revenue blockers. Capture feedback and influence solutions internally.
- Continuous business learning and professional growth: Continually strengthen your Microsoft Ads and Branding expertise, take personal accountability for your career and personal development; create, update and regularly check in on your career development plan. Complete required and recommended trainings and apply what you learn to further your growth in role and career progression
What is expected out of you?
- Minimum 6-8 years’ online media sales/ advertising sales experience required
- Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred
- Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity, communications skills and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed revenue goals or targets
- Proven ability to understand customer needs, create and deliver customized, customer-focused pitches and solutions
- Effectively navigate through ambiguity and complexities related to client management
- Talented in storytelling and delivering engaging presentations across all levels of leadership
- Ability to navigate customer sales negotiations and technical presentations in person and remotely
- Solid knowledge of the branding industry, native display products, customer's needs, Microsoft’s strategy and how they work together
- Passion for technology as an enabler for company growth
- Location: Singapore, should be willing to travel
