Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for leading commercial growth for ESG & Sustainability services in Singapore, driving revenue generation, expanding market presence, and overseeing the complete pre-sales consultative process and ensuring seamless end-to-end engagement.

Specific Responsibilities

Commercial Growth

  • Drive sales strategies and revenue growth of ESG & Sustainability services. 
  • Build and maintain Sales Pipeline, responsible for the achievement of assigned annual and quarterly sales target.
  • Identify and close new business plans/strategies, expand market presence through proactive engagement and market analysis.
  • Manage end-to-end sales engagement from business development, marketing, proposal creation, contract management, acceptance, to invoice & collection in a timely manner.
  • Support technical teams in promoting and marketing services to drive revenue growth.
  • Train, lead, and support sales teams to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Design and execute marketing plans including promotional activities for new markets.
  • Provide timely periodic report for sales review meetings with the management & team, plan vs status vs forecast to completion with action/mitigation plan as required.
  • Monitor and manage customer satisfaction and client retention.

Marketing & Partnership Development

  • Lead key accounts and strategic partnership programmes to drive opportunity pipeline.
  • Network with key stakeholders and maintain awareness of external market developments and trends.
  • Gather, analyze, and consolidate market intelligence to adjust strategies and provide insights to management.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and monitor market share to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure disciplined use of CRM systems and adherence to internal governance processes.
  • Represent SGS at events and industry engagements.

Qualifications

 

  • Degree in Engineering, Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainability or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven track record in selling ESG & Sustainability-related service, business development, or account management; e.g., Sustainability reporting, Green Finance, Decarbonization & Target setting, GHG Verification, KPI Verification, ESG Assurance, and other Climate-related services portfolio.
  • Strong understanding of ESG & Sustainability frameworks, Reporting standards, and regulatory landscapes (SGX, ISSB, SASB, GRI, TCFD, CDP, GHG Protocol, ISO 14064 families, etc.).
  • Professional credibility with sustainability, finance, and procurement leaders.
  • Experience in Assurance/TIC environment is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with EDG and Singapore TAC ecosystem is an advantage.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to sales planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and influence decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to structure complex proposals.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating high-performing sales teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with strong adaptability and execution focus.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and sales enablement platforms.
