Job Description

As the Sales Director for Southeast Asia, you will be responsible for driving the sales strategy, business performance and continued growth of the SEA sub-region. As a core member of the SAP Management Team, you will lead a diverse sales organization across markets with different dynamics, maturity and growth opportunities.


You will lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Sales Managers, drive accountability for business results, champion the Axis culture and build strong strategic relationships across our customer and partner ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, coach and develop the SEA Sales Managers and their teams to deliver business objectives while building a high-performing, collaborative ONE SEA sales organization.
  • Set clear objectives, priorities and expectations, driving accountability through regular business reviews, KPI follow-up, pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
  • Develop the Sales Managers as business leaders, strengthening their ability to lead their markets, develop their teams and take ownership of performance, while building succession and reducing dependency on individual expertise or relationships.
  • Work closely with the sales organization to strengthen strategic relationships with key end customers, partners, system integrators and distributors.
  • Be a strong bearer of Axis culture, fostering an open, inclusive and high-performance environment built on trust, constructive feedback and accountability.

Sub-region Responsibility

  • Own the development and execution of the sales strategy and business plans across SEA, adapting priorities and approach to the different market dynamics, maturity and growth opportunities of each country.
  • Continuously evaluate and evolve the sales organization, market coverage, capabilities and ways of working to support changing market needs and future growth across SEA.
  • Take accountability for SEA business performance, including revenue growth, market share, profitability and agreed business KPIs, supported by strong pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
  • Continuously monitor market, customer, competitive and macro-economic developments, translating insights into actions and adapting priorities where required.
  • Work closely with Distribution, Engineering & Training, Marketing, Finance and other functions to align priorities, resources and execution around SEA business objectives.
  • Ensure appropriate governance of pricing, investments and expenditure, in line with Axis guidelines, Code of Conduct and long-term business objectives.
  • Represent Axis externally across SEA, strengthening strategic relationships and the Axis brand with key customers, partners, industry stakeholders and media.

Regional Management Team

  • As a member of the SAP Management Team, take shared ownership and accountability for the overall success of SAP, contributing beyond SEA Sales to regional strategy, priorities and business performance.
  • Actively contribute to shaping SAP strategy by bringing SEA market, customer and competitive insights, while representing the different dynamics and opportunities across the individual SEA markets.
  • Drive strong cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Engineering & Training, Marketing, Distribution and other functions, locally, regionally and globally, to support common SAP priorities.
  • Act as a strong ambassador for Axis, our culture, values and strategic direction in all internal and external interactions

Profile (Requirements for this job)


Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree in Business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, featuring a strong foundation in strategic planning and sales operations management.
    • At least 5 years in channel sales management
    • At least 3 years in solutions sales
  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience, including leading and developing high-performing sales teams and Sales Managers.
  • Proven regional leadership experience, ideally across Southeast Asia, with a strong understanding of diverse market dynamics and experience working within a Western multinational organization.
  • A proven sales track record within the IT, networking, or physical security industry.

  • Inquisitive, self-confident and adaptable, comfortable leading in a fast-paced, changing and culturally diverse environment.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively across functions, organizational levels and geographies.
  • Able to understand and articulate relevant technical concepts across networking, IP video and IT infrastructure.
  • High proficiency in English; fluency in an additional Southeast Asian language is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel extensively across SEA and internationally as required.
