WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
SimCorp APAC is seeking a solution-driven Sales Director to take full accountability for the consultative sale' of SimCorp’s products and service offerings to existing clients across Asia.
This role is critical to our effectiveness, requiring a comprehensive understanding of diverse financial markets, including trading, analytics, settlement, performance measurement, risk management, fund administration, and accounting.
Given the extensive asset class coverage within SimCorp Dimension, the Sales Director will work with a wide range of instruments, from straightforward equities and fixed-income securities to more complex derivatives, credit, and OTC instruments.
What you will be responsible for:
As the Sales Director for Asia, you will manage a specific territory, industry segment, or portfolio of clients within a Market Unit. Your primary focus will be to plan, qualify, implement, and conduct advantageous sales campaigns. You’ll collaborate closely with Customer Success Managers, Presales, Professional Services, and other internal stakeholders to fulfill sales targets for licenses and services.
Your role is pivotal in becoming a trusted advisor to client decision-makers by offering valuable insights that showcase SimCorp’s distinct value propositions.
Note: This is role is an individual contributor position who will work with various members within the APAC Market Unit.
- Fulfill Sales Targets: Meet or match new and additional revenue goals across Asia.
- Territory Development: Qualify, develop, and manage all sales opportunities effectively through to closure.
- Market Analysis: Research and validate the addressable market in Asia.
- Sales and Marketing Campaigns: Support global and regional sales and marketing initiatives.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in Salesforce.
- Pipeline Creation: Partner with Marketing and Inside Sales to discover opportunities and build a solid sales pipeline.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve market position, product innovation, brand awareness, and enhance customer focus relative to competitors.
- Opportunity Qualification: Evaluate opportunities for feasibility and likelihood of viability, assembling pursuit teams as needed.
- Client Engagement: Build relationships with clients, articulate business opportunities, and guide them toward SimCorp solutions.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead pricing and legal discussions, ensuring favorable outcomes.
- Knowledge Expert: Become an expert in SimCorp’s solutions and their value propositions.
- Implementation Handover: Facilitate seamless knowledge transfer from sales to implementation teams.
- Matrix Management: Partner with the marketing team and various other groups within the organization to develop effective marketing strategies that resonate with SimCorp’s core values and strengths.
- Market Exploration: Identify and pursue new technologies, services, and partnerships to optimize revenue opportunities.
- Growth Prioritization: Focus on key partners, top targets, and opportunities aligned with SimCorp’s broader growth goals.

- Educational Background: A relevant Bachelor’s degree is required (advanced degrees would be beneficial), along with the capacity to engage in solution-oriented discussions with senior leaders in the fund industry.
- Demonstrated experience in a Sales capacity is important, highlighting enterprise-level sales expertise and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Client Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders across the various markets in the territory
- Business Understanding: Capacity to deeply understand the business challenges SimCorp solutions address, with comfort (or expertise) in financial markets.
- Strategic and Tactical Approach: Skill in developing and performing sales strategies while commendably leading deal teams to realize desired outcomes.
- Product and Market Knowledge: Proficient understanding of SimCorp’s offerings and ability to differentiate them in the market to drive interest and revenue.
- Sales Process: Experience leading the sales lifecycle, including accurate forecasting, Salesforce management, and initiating accountability in weekly sales meetings.
- Customer Focus: Relationship management skills to understand and address customer needs within the context of SimCorp’s scalable solutions.
- Market Insight: Ability to identify and respond to market trends affecting corporate sales strategies.
