The Sales Development Representative will generate and qualify inbound and outbound leads across the APAC region, conduct prospecting and cold calls, identify decision-makers, overcome objections, and create qualified meetings and opportunities. The role involves researching target accounts, articulating Hazelcast’s value proposition to technical and executive audiences, collaborating with sales and marketing on events, and using CRM, outreach, and prospecting tools to achieve monthly targets.
WHAT WE NEED
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Sales team. You will be responsible for identifying and creating new qualified leads for your respective Regional Sales Directors and Corporate Sales counterparts. The SDR will manage both inbound leads and outbound call campaigns, qualifying active buying interest and identifying critical decision-makers. You will also work with Sales counterparts to coordinate efforts to research key accounts, identify additional contacts, and understand the organizational structures. You will need to be able to articulate the Hazelcast value proposition via the phone and web to Developers, IT Architects, Line of Business leaders, and C-level executives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Achieve/exceed monthly metrics (ex: qualified meetings/opportunities created)
- Prospect, educate, qualify and develop target accounts
- Respond to inbound customer leads and develop these accounts to create opportunities
- Successfully manage and overcome customer objections
- Ability to call within all levels of an organization and identify business needs for Hazelcast solutions
- Liaise with Marketing to drive attendance to, and follow up on events such as training and conferences
- Utilization of CRM and communication tools (Salesforce, Outreach)
- Utilization of Internet research tools for prospecting (LinkedIn, Seamless.Ai, Zoominfo)
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
- At least, 1 year of relevant professional sales experience
- Candidates should have sales development or related experience in a business-to-business environment
- Industry knowledge a plus
- Proven track record of success in cold calling, deal qualification, and goal achievement preferred
- Highly motivated and professional with excellent communication skills, highly confident, able to work diligently and independently, and goal-oriented
- Experience in speaking with a Line of Business leaders and C-level executives
- Fast learner with strong technical aptitude
- Must have high ethics, integrity, and humility and have the desire to be part of a rapidly growing organization
- Experience in software start-up and competitive software sales environments preferred
