Meet the Team
Cisco ThousandEyes is the industry-leading Digital Experience Assurance platform. It empowers organizations to deliver flawless digital experiences across every network, even those they don't own. The platform provides a holistic view of the Internet, cloud environments, CDNs, and private networks through a single pane of glass, ensuring that critical applications and websites remain up and running so businesses can thrive. Deeply integrated into the Cisco portfolio, Cisco ThousandEyes extends visibility and assurance across Networking, Security, Collaboration, and Observability solutions.
This is a unique career opportunity driving innovative GTM campaigns and sales plays for Cisco ThousandEyes across APJC. You will sit at the intersection of AI, sales, and marketing - designing and running outbound motions in the fastest growing software business in Cisco. You will be directly mentored by the regional Head of Sales, and have the licence to experiment, iterate, and build new go-to-market playbooks from the ground up. If you are commercially curious, AI-native, and energised by the idea of building something from scratch, this is your role.
Your Impact
As the Virtual Sales Specialist for Cisco ThousandEyes, you will own top-of-funnel pipeline origination across focused markets, executing AI-driven outbound motions, creating and executing sales campaigns, and converting customer interest into qualified pipeline for Account Executives to close. You will maintain a strong understanding of the ThousandEyes platform, industry trends, and the competitive landscape using that knowledge to connect customer needs to relevant solutions and craft tailored value propositions that convert conversations into meetings. You will report directly to the Head of Sales, APJC, who will personally coach and develop you in this role.
Key Responsibilities
  • AI-Driven Demand Generation: Design and execute AI-powered outbound campaigns - both 1:1 and 1:many - targeting the right personas in the right accounts at the right moment. Build sequences, test messaging, track engagement, and iterate fast. Engage peers and the broader team to continuously sharpen lead generation strategies.
  • Just-in-Time Campaign Execution: When a major network outage hits or a market event creates an opening, you move first. Within hours, you have targeted outreach live: the right message, the right accounts, a webinar invite or solution brief attached. Speed and relevance are your edge.
  • Pipeline Origination & Lead Nurturing: Own the full top-of-funnel lifecycle across a defined territory - sourcing net new contacts, running personalised multi-channel outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, and social media, and nurturing responses through to a qualified handoff to Account Executives. Set and track weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline targets using CRM data and forecasting. Your success is measured by pipeline created and revenue influenced.
  • Lead Qualification & AE Handoff: Qualify leads through in-depth discovery - understanding prospect industry, size, business needs, and technology environment. Leverage knowledge of the ThousandEyes platform to connect customer challenges to relevant solutions and communicate a tailored value proposition. Ensure every qualified lead is handed to the Account Executive with a clear summary of insights, next steps, and context, so no momentum is lost in the transition.
  • Event Follow-Up & Prospect Sequencing: For every customer event the team runs, you own what happens next. Timely, personalised follow-up to every attendee. Move them from event participant to active prospect. No lead left cold.
  • Direct Customer Outreach: Execute targeted outreach, calling, emailing, and social selling, across focused markets. Localise messaging, navigate cultural nuance, and open doors where relationships and language matter. Use scripts and guidelines as a starting point, then adapt based on what resonates.
  • Intent Signal Monitoring & Account Prioritisation: Use internal CRM data, market intelligence, and AI tooling to surface accounts showing buying signals, i.e. leadership changes, tech stack shifts, public outages, funding events. Leverage analytics to prioritise high-impact opportunities and feed an insight-backed hit list to AEs so every outreach lands with context.
  • Win/Loss Re-engagement: Systematically identify and re-engage closed-lost opportunities and lapsed prospects using Salesforce and Gong data. Build signal-triggered outreach sequences, activated by leadership changes at the account, competitor events, new platform capabilities, or elapsed time thresholds, to bring dormant pipeline back into active conversation.
  • Content Localisation & APAC Messaging: Adapt global ThousandEyes content, case studies, one-pagers, technical briefs, for APAC audiences. Create region-specific narratives and ensure every outbound touch is backed by something relevant and credible.
  • GTM Experimentation & Playbook Building: Test new channels, personas, and triggers. Document what lands, retire what doesn't, and contribute to the playbooks the team will run at scale. Follow established escalation frameworks and share learnings regularly with the broader team.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercially minded. You think in pipeline and revenue outcomes, not just activity metrics.
  • AI-native. You already use AI tools in your daily workflow and instinctively look to automate before doing manually.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English. You write and speak with clarity, brevity, and a point of view.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You can define the problem and start moving without a playbook handed to you.
  • Resilient and persistent. Outbound is hard; you take feedback, not rejection, personally.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in B2B sales, demand generation, or marketing or currently completing an MBA with a focus on technology, marketing, or strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with or strong curiosity about sales tools - Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Gong, or similar.
  • Proficiency in an additional APAC language (Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia, or Thai) is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to enterprise software, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or networking is an advantage but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; MBA is a plus.
