Description
Working within the IoT research team, ABI Research is looking for an analyst to expand our coverage of IoT equipment, systems, and platforms. In this role, you will explore market trends, analyze competitive landscapes, and provide valuable insights to leading global technology suppliers. We are looking for intellectually curious and detail-oriented candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Author research reports, market forecasts, competitive assessments, and articles within one or more areas of personal expertise, with coverage around IoT embedded systems and hardware platforms.
- Work on custom research and consulting projects, providing leadership on scope, methodology, and project delivery.
- Interview key stakeholders across the IoT technology value chain to exchange perspectives and insights on market conditions and product innovation.
- Maintain a high industry profile, promoting ABI Research’s information services through regular contact with key industry players, participation in industry events, authoring articles, delivering presentations, and interacting with the press.
- Take ownership of key parts of ABI Research’s coverage of IoT embedded systems and hardware platforms, identifying coverage gaps and expansion opportunities, advising customers on trends and competitive dynamics, and taking a lead on commercial activities.
- Support sales and business development activities by preparing customer-specific analysis, and by participating in key meetings with clients, prospects, and partners.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with technical details and understand their significance within the bigger picture.
- Demonstrated ability to swiftly identify salient topics and trends, and to structure information clearly and creatively to engage different audiences.
- Enthusiasm for technology innovation is a must for this role, as is intellectual curiosity.
- The desire to impart knowledge, to engage in conversation, to develop interests, and to take ownership.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel: experience with formulas and model building.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University.
