Role Overview
As the Senior Product Portfolio Manager at WKND Investments, you will spearhead the strategic vision and hands-on execution of our diverse product and client portfolio, serving as a key driver in shaping product (partner) roadmaps, cultivating deep client relationships, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. From AI-driven innovations to client journey strategy and execution and executive positioning, every initiative will align with our mission to push the boundaries of performance marketing and achieve profitable, data-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities1. Product & Portfolio Leadership
- Product Vision & Roadmap: Define and communicate a clear vision for WKND’s product suite, prioritizing features based on data-driven insights and client needs.
- Portfolio Strategy & Growth: Oversee a portfolio of client accounts and digital products, identifying cross-product synergies to drive both revenue growth, retention and enhanced brand loyalty.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with design, UX, development, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure seamless execution. Align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Land-and-Expand Architecture: Design entry-level solutions and complementary add-on modules, ensuring clients can seamlessly adopt new products over time.
2. Client Engagement & Delivery
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Build strategic client relationships through regular updates, event planning, and thoughtful communication strategies. Serve as the primary point of contact for product features, updates, and positioning.
- Project & Campaign Oversight: Manage multiple high-complexity initiatives from start to finish—resolving roadblocks proactively, adjusting resources, and ensuring each “land” paves the way for eventual “expand.”
- Performance Reporting: Own client reporting dashboards and interpret key metrics (KPIs, ROI, growth) to deliver actionable insights. Present data-backed recommendations that elevate portfolio performance and demonstrate how additional product/service adoption or specific campaign initiatives increase profitable outcomes.
- Land-and-Expand Mindset: You’re adept at uncovering opportunities to grow client partnerships, from initial adoption to multi-product/service usage, increasing lifetime value and retention.
3. Financial & Operational Management
- Budget & Resource Allocation: Develop and manage budgets for both client campaigns and internal product initiatives, ensuring projects remain within financial targets.
- Negotiation & Contract Management: Secure profitable agreements, balancing the client’s goals with WKND’s strategic and financial objectives. This includes structuring multi-stage pricing, bundle packages, or expansion clauses that align client goals with WKND’s long-term strategy.
- Process Optimization: Continuously refine workflows to streamline onboarding for new products/services, ensuring expansions are operationally efficient and scalable.
4. Strategic Growth & Innovation
- AI-Driven Experimentation: Champion rapid experimentation with AI and automation across product roadmaps and marketing strategies to stay on the leading edge.
- Thought Leadership & Vision: Anticipate emerging industry trends, shaping high-level initiatives that future-proof our offerings.
- Data-Backed Storytelling: Translate complex analytics and market data into compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences, aligning internal/external incentives and motivations while highlighting the value of adding or upgrading products/services within our portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in product management, portfolio/program management, or business development within a fast-paced, digital environment.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, guide change management, and achieve consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Track record of creating high-impact communication strategies (e.g., executive briefings, conferences, marketing events) that nurture strong client relationships.
- Analytical & Technical Acumen: Skilled in data interpretation using tools like Excel, Google Analytics, or equivalent. Comfortable navigating discussions on product features, technical dependencies, and market trends.
