We are seeking a bright and ambitious individual to strengthen the growth of business in the regional team as a Work & Skills Transformation Lead for Asia.

Mercer’s Regional People Advisory Team

Mercer’s dynamic Regional Team for People Advisory helps clients across Asia navigate current workforce challenges and shape the future of work. Leveraging one of the strongest workforce products & insights databases in the market, we combine deep expertise in workforce strategy, rewards and talent advisory, and organization design, to help organizations transform how work gets done across diverse Asian markets. This role will drive our approach to Work and Skills Transformation across the region by developing regional capability, creating new opportunities with clients, and providing subject matter expert support on projects throughout Asia. Key focus areas are supporting organizations in understanding future work trends, building skills-powered organizations, identifying skill gaps, redesigning work and roles, and implementing actionable strategies that enable workforce agility and business performance. Working closely with colleagues and clients across multiple markets, the Regional Work & Skills Lead will deliver impactful workforce transformation solutions tailored to the needs of the region.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead and coordinate Work and Skills transformation engagements across multiple Asian countries, collaborating closely with local Mercer teams and clients to deliver tailored solutions that address regional workforce challenges.

  • Develop regional capability by mentoring and supporting Mercer colleagues across Asia, sharing best practices, and fostering knowledge exchange to strengthen our collective expertise in work and skills transformation.

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery including problem structuring, solution design, and execution across workforce strategy, skills-based organizations, and work redesign with a regional perspective.

  • Advise clients across Asia on skills frameworks, job architectures, workforce planning, and talent transformation initiatives

  • Provide subject matter support on projects by contributing deep expertise in workforce strategy and skills transformation to enhance project quality and client outcomes.

  • Support organizations in understanding the impact of AI and automation on jobs, roles, and workforce structures, helping design adaptive strategies for evolving work and skills.

  • Facilitate the transition toward skills-powered operating models, including work decomposition, skills taxonomies, internal mobility frameworks, and AI-enabled workforce strategies.

  • Engage and collaborate with senior stakeholders, HR, and business leaders through workshops and advisory sessions, serving as a trusted regional advisor on workforce transformation.

  • Build and nurture strong client relationships across Asian markets, actively shape regional business development efforts, generating leads, and engaging potential prospects.

  • Identify and develop innovative offerings and thought leadership in the Work and Skills transformation space in alignment with the global team that resonate regionally.

  • Manage project timelines and communications effectively across multiple time zones and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and stakeholder alignment.

  • Anticipate potential risks and roadblocks in engagements, propose solutions, and escalate as appropriate to maintain project momentum.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with prior consulting experience in workforce strategy, skills transformation, or organization transformation engagements.

  • Strong understanding of future of work, skills-based organizations, workforce planning, and talent strategy.

  • Insight into the impact of AI and emerging technologies on jobs, roles, and workforce models.

  • Proven ability to manage complex client engagements and deliver high-quality consulting work in a multi-country context.

  • Strong business acumen with a track record of developing client relationships and supporting business development efforts.

  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across multiple teams, cultures, and geographies..

  • Strong analytical, project management, and structured problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic consulting environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to leverage AI tools and data-driven approaches in consulting work, including research, analysis, and solution development
