Job Summary:The Regional Sourcing Manager, ESA is responsible for managing category management expertise and discipline in the area of Procurement which will enable the organization to make intelligent ‘buy’ decisions through exercising an effective strategic sourcing process. The region this role is responsible to oversee includes Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Thailand.
Responsibilities:
Exercise the industry through the recognized seven step strategic sourcing process. The seven step strategic sourcing process is an industry recognized approach in procurement.
Procuring goods and services for various products and services
Managing the entire competitive bid evaluation process from simple RFIs to complex multi stakeholder RFPs.
Developing Scopes of Work (SOW) from the beginning by understanding the client’s requirements, supplier’s limitations and CSA’s contractual limitations.
Working closely with legal to ensure CSA’s risk is mitigated
Working with CSA stakeholders from across all functions within CSA, Manages high volume, medium to high complex requirements, development of complex contracts and very demanding teams and supplier relationships
Responsible for developing and managing base agreements for net new suppliers
Performing and analyzing periodic and ad hoc procurement reports from various systems (SAP, Concur, etc.)
Leads cost structure analysis and negotiate best price with suppliers
Execute Continuous Improvement projects to support Strategic Sourcing business objectives and goals.
Effectively communicates with the supplier –teleconferences –co-coordinating client, procurement and supplier on calls
Responsible for negotiating and closing deals for CSA Group by understanding, creating, and delivering client value propositions including financial savings
Provide leadership in supplier relationship management to ensure alignment with sourcing strategies
Responsible for continually monitoring, improving and measuring category performance based on the overall category plans
Analyze purchasing decisions to include inventory turnover, return on investment, area demands and trends
Drive and delivery competitive advantage for CSA by managing execution of a comprehensive category strategy including in-depth global market analysis as part of the overall detailed sourcing category plan
Developing, maintaining, providing guidance and managing collaborative client relationship
Accountable to ensure CSA is insulated from contractual supplier based risk arising through annual reviews of the contracts
Lead multi stakeholder quarterly business reviews with core vendors
Responsible for the transformation of our global procurement organization.
Collaborating with the leadership team in completing due diligence to define the future taxonomy for category management at CSA while being engaged in multi category sourcing projects.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Commerce/Business Degree and or Master's Degree in Business Management
SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) Designation is an asset
Minimum 7 - 10 years business experience in vendor management, Strategic sourcing, procurement, process management
Proven experience in performing and evaluating source solicitations including RFQ/RFP/RFI
Proven experience in developing Scopes of Work (SOW) from the beginning by understanding the client’s requirements, supplier’s limitations and CSA’s contractual limitations.
Skills:
Proven experience in negotiating commercial terms in a supplier contract
Ability to develop fresh approaches, innovate and adapt
Superior interpersonal, relationship building, negotiating, communication and presentation skills
Excellent time management skills.
