JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our unique pharmaceutical business offers exposure to medicines, vaccines and consumer healthcare products across a patient’s life cycle from conception to later life, with brands coming from; our established business, wholly owned local companies and local brands. We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the APAC marketing team; to lead biosimilars marketing, to challenge the status quo to transform the business and help deliver on our ambition to grow the business with our expansion in to biosimilars.

As APAC Marketing Manager, you will lead the development and execution of strategic business and marketing plans to drive the growth of Abbott’s Immunology and Oncology biosimilar brands across key indications in key countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

This role is central to expanding access to advanced, cost-effective biologic therapies that are transforming treatment for complex diseases. You will ensure the successful implementation of marketing strategies and tactics, securing full engagement and alignment with global and affiliate teams to achieve outstanding commercial results. In addition to driving brand performance, you will shape go-to-market strategies and collaborate with Business Development to build a robust innovation pipeline.

As part of the regional marketing team, you will work cross-functionally to help enhance marketing capabilities, deliver sustainable growth, and position Abbott as a market leader in targeted biosimilars across APAC.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Marketing: Develop a robust cross functional APAC brand plans designed to accelerate the growth of Abbott’s Immunology & Oncology Biosimilar brands. Ensure the plan identifies future trends, addresses key issues, and leverages opportunities to outperform competitors and drive above market growth. To review and support the APAC region’s strategic business plans for the group of products.
  • Market Insights and Research: Lead the initiation of critical market insights and research to uncover unmet needs and enhance customer experience. Translate these insights into actionable strategies that inform and drive marketing initiatives.
  • Brand Differentiation: Drive and adapt the global brand positioning, ensuring competitive differentiation and compelling messaging for Biosimilar products. Set inspirational goals that align with Abbott’s vision and resonate with key stakeholders.
  • Integrated Marketing Programs: Be responsible for regional launch plans and ensure optimal utilization of the planned promotional support budget. Design, plan, and oversee the execution of integrated marketing programs Biosimilar products.
  • Launch Excellence: Be responsible for APAC launch plans for new Biosimilar products. Prioritize key actions to ensure alignment and seamless execution across affiliates, closely monitoring progress to ensure success.
  • Affiliate Collaboration and Support: Foster strong communication and alignment with local marketing and sales teams. Provide guidance and support to ensure affiliate marketing plans are strategically sound and effectively executed.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish robust monitoring mechanisms to track the execution and impact of marketing programs. Prepare detailed monthly reports for senior management, including performance dashboards, highlights, and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Best Practice Sharing: Drive the sharing of best practices across regions and affiliates, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the global marketing team.
  • Represent Asia in Divisional/Global Marketing Biosimilars forums.

Requirements

  • University degree (ideally Science and/or Business)
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/oncology sales and marketing experience at a country or regional level.
  • Proven success in Immunology & Oncology Biosimilar brand management.
  • Experience working within Asian Markets is a significant advantage.
