The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore is recruiting a Financial Business partner of the Commercial function in the relevant scope: Business analysis and Commercial Controlling of the Nutrition and BioIndustry Greater Asia Business Unit.
This position plays a strategic role in business analysis, commercial controlling, performance steering, and decision support across a dynamic and fast-evolving regional environment. Acting as a true business partner to Sales, Operations, and Finance teams, the successful candidate will contribute to driving profitability, improving commercial performance, and supporting long-term business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyse commercial performance across volumes, prices, mix, and margins by sales area, market segment, product family, and key accounts
Track order intake, sales delivery performance, and sales pipeline evolution while proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and performance gaps versus Budget and Last Year
Participate actively in pricing strategy definition and updates in a highly volatile market environment exposed to fluctuations in cereals and energy costs
Support the development and maintenance of indexed pricing formulas applicable to selected global accounts
Provide analytical and financial support to the Sales team during contracting periods, including variable cost evolution, pass-through analysis, and order trend monitoring
Prepare and facilitate weekly commercial performance meetings and contribute to recovery and landing scenarios
Challenge and support the monthly volume forecasting process (unconstrained SIOP plan) in collaboration with Sales and Demand Planning teams
Liaise closely with Operations Controlling teams to understand and challenge the evolution of variable costs, industrial fixed costs, and depreciation
Prepare and contribute to monthly Business Reviews for the Business Unit, including data consolidation, performance analysis, management commentary, and presentations to Group Executive stakeholders
Elaborate monthly Gross Margin forecasts and support profitability monitoring initiatives
Monitor overheads and SG&A expenses
Participate actively in the annual Budget process and Mid-Term Planning exercises by providing both quantitative analysis and business narratives
Work closely with Treasury teams on cash flow monitoring topics including DSO tracking and overdue payments management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage
- Approximately 8–10 years of experience in Finance, Commercial Controlling, FP&A, or Commercial Finance roles
- Strong experience partnering with Sales, Commercial, or Operations teams
- Experience within multinational and matrix organizations is highly preferred
- Exposure to transformation, growth, or fast-changing business environments is advantageous
- Industry exposure within FMCG, agri-commodities, manufacturing, industrial, or other fast-moving sectors is a plus
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and business analysis capabilities
- Solid understanding of P&L management, including Revenue, Gross Margin, and SG&A analysis
- Ability to analyse volume/price/mix effects and explain performance variances
- Knowledge of pricing mechanisms and cost structure analysis
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes
- Familiarity with SIOP / demand planning environments is advantageous
- Understanding of working capital and cash flow management concepts (DSO monitoring, overdue receivables, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills are mandatory
- Experience with SAP, ERP systems, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
- Comfortable handling and synthesizing large datasets into actionable business insights
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management capabilities
- Comfortable operating in a regional and multicultural environment
- Demonstrated learning agility and potential for broader leadership responsibilities over time
- Fluent English is mandatory, additional Asian language capabilities are an advantage
