The Trade Desk is seeking a Receptionist (Front Desk Associate) to join our dynamic Workplace Services team! This individual will act as a cultural ambassador for the office and will be responsible for assisting the Workplace Services team with management of high-volume, high-touch services and programs with the goal of providing a safe, positive, productive, and “best in class” workplace experience. This highly visible position is responsible for offering the highest level of customer service while representing The Trade Desk as one of the first points of contact for all our employees, guests, and visitors.


What you’ll do:

  • Working under the direct supervision of your manager, act as a primary point of contact for the office front of house support which includes greeting employees, guests, visitors, and vendors. This position will be at the office's front reception desk.
  • Assist with management of daily building access cards for employees and guests. Coordinate with the local Workplace Services team and building security as necessary.
  • Support regular office communications regarding office updates, food & beverage programs, and other related activities and events.
  • Assist with coordinating office functions including lunch programs, mail services, employee desk moves, client and/or large team meeting room reservations, and special events.
  • Alert Workplace Services team members to maintenance issues, such as my office/area is too hot or cold, chair is broken, desk isn’t working, plumbing issues, etc. Educate employees on how to initiate support requests as necessary.
  • Regularly maintain the front of house area neat and tidy to provide best first impression for all employees, visitors, and guests.
  • Assist with maintaining the local workplace intranet page with relevant and useful information for employees and visitors including building information, security, and tips for traveling employees.
  • Assist with the employee and contractor onboarding and departure process in close collaboration with HR, Talent Acquisition, IT, and Workplace teams.
  • Assist with planning of office morale activities and events.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition team with candidate greetings and coordination
  • Perform other tasks, duties, or special projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with global Workplace Services colleagues on best practices.

Who you are:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced office or professional work environment is a plus.
  • Genuine interest in providing an outstanding level of customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
  • Passion – your work matters, and you deliver it with an upbeat, positive attitude with attention to detail.
  • Grit – sometimes solutions take creative thinking and multiple iterations. You are resilient to finding solutions.
  • Proactive attitude - check in with team early and often, alert the appropriate staff when there’s an issue and always strive to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Able to respond after hours for emergencies and able to work outside of designated hours as needed.
  • Full knowledge of MS Office Suite – Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • The role requires regular physical movement while working comfortably in a high‑traffic, visible front‑of‑house environment
