Overview:
Non-Linear Structuring’s mandate is to work closely with Non-Linear Trading and Sales to design, structure and trade non-vanilla products for ING clients' investment and asset & liability requirements. The group acts as a bridge connecting ING Financial Market’s (FM) trading capabilities with our clients’ need for more bespoke, non-standard and sometimes complex products & solutions.
This team is the centre for the innovation of new products and ideas that enable FM to offer clients a wider range of products in cash, and derivative products in Rates, FX and Credit. The team also works on strategic projects that help FM find solutions to internal or market constraints and respond to regulatory developments.
Key products are CLNs, SPV based issuances, Credit Contingent swaps, Securitisation/Covered bond swaps, Interest Rate Caps (caps with running or contingent premium), Collars (zero cost, knock-in), Structured Swaps (knock-out, multi-callable, puttable, window), Structured Notes – with various FX and IR payoffs and Index Trades.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:

Structuring, origination, pricing and seamless execution of complex non-linear solutions required by corporate clients, financial institutions and private investors in collaboration with the structuring colleagues, the various trading desks, the quant team and the global sales teams

Generate, develop and present innovative ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients through research, financial modelling and industry analysis.

Help Sales force manage investor relations by ensuring timely communication and updates

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders

Ensure high-quality analysis and timely delivery of work product

Keep abreast of industry and market trends and their impact on the business

Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to junior team members

Establish/maintain regular contact with the sales desks, relationship managers and other ING businesses with a view to identifying business opportunities and enhancing Structured Products business with them
Candidate Profile
Qualification/Education:
-
University degree in science / mathematics / management / accounting domain(s)
Experience/Knowledge:
-
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in finance and banking environment

In depth understanding of interest rate & credit derivatives from a structuring, pricing and documentation point of view

Relevant experience in:
-
structuring or trading (credit/interest rate derivatives) roles

developing and marketing complex solutions to bank’s customers

developing/using analytical tools for pricing, valuations, and simulation

Proven ability to work and collaborate across functions
