BlockTech is a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global cryptocurrency trading while expanding into regulated markets. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a Quantitative Trader to join us amid our exciting scale-up phase!
You are a hands-on trader with a deep understanding of linear products, market microstructure, and risk. You are comfortable taking ownership of positions, improving PnL, and working closely with technology to continuously optimize trading performance.
What will you do?
As Quantitative Trader, you will take direct responsibility for the performance and robustness of our automated and semi-automated trading strategies.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing and monitoring Delta1 trading positions across multiple venues
Actively interpreting market flow, liquidity conditions, and market events
Improving execution quality and market-making performance
Evaluating strategy performance and identifying areas for optimization
Fine-tuning and parameterizing automated trading systems
Designing and specifying trading tools and analytics to support decision-making
Collaborating closely with quantitative developers, software engineers, and data scientists to improve models, infrastructure, and execution logic
Providing input on strategy roadmaps and prioritization of new trading initiatives
You will act as a domain expert within the trading team, knowing when and how to intervene in automated systems to manage risk and capture opportunities. At BlockTech, traders are expected to combine strong market intuition with a systematic, data-driven mindset.

3+ years of experience as a Quantitative Trader and/or Quantitative Researcher in a professional trading environment
Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with strong trading intuition
Demonstrated PnL responsibility and a proven track record trading linear (Delta1) products across multiple venues
Strong understanding of market microstructure, including order books, liquidity dynamics, execution costs, and latency trade-offs
Hands-on experience with automated and semi-automated trading systems, including monitoring, tuning, and intervention under live market conditions
Ability to analyze strategy performance using data and translate insights into concrete trading or execution improvements
Proficient in Python for analysis, tooling, and interaction with trading systems
Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-responsibility environments where decisions have immediate financial impact
Ownership mindset: proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking initiative rather than waiting for direction
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, engineers, and fellow traders
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
