As a Product Quality Assurance Principle Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for Product Quality improvements through EFA [Electrical Failure Analysis], data mining, new part qualification support. The goal of job function in PQA is to drive for continuous improvement of the quality of product in order to exceed expectations of the business plan and external customers This will involve interfacing with Process Integration/ Product Engineering to improve Yields, reliability and manufacturability.

  • MRB case management and postmortem for CAPA enhancement
  • Product grade yield improvement
  • PTS yield improvement
  • Burn dpm and module dpm improvement
  • Wafer level reliability monitoring and shift left to probe for coverage
  • RMA management and analysis for process/probe improvement
  • WLR program development to monitor fab process reliability
  • Driving key deliverables and improvement programs for Micron internal quality metrics, like component and module level dpm, Product Grade, PTS, NPI qual, reliability, GSPEC and NCD/CoNC
  • Drive deep-dive problem solving and root cause analysis skills including developing systemic and specific CAPAs for RMA, also drive in-line detection and probe coverage opportunity
  • Partner with Design, PE, and QA to align and recommend changes to verification and/or validation flows to ensure they are optimized to meet Micron’s QR needs
  • Develop, debug and support stresses test program on concerns highlighted reliability risk
  • Monitors and drives the quality metrics improvements including, module production fails and RMAs
  • Monitor Global quality dashboard and report reliability metric not meeting spec and performance
  • Leads the analysis of multiple data sources and ensures appropriate feedback is given to customer
  • Proactively identify potential quality and reliability concerns, drive actions to mitigate, contain deviated material.
  • Applies advanced principles and past knowledge of reliability to evaluate and act on potential reliability issues.
  • Able to link Product layout and how it relates to process marginality and product testing.
  • Working in collaboration with multiple engineering groups including Process Integration, process Area/RDA/Manufacturing to help identify existing containment action and work towards continuous improvement action, and mitigate potential quality and reliability issues during the Design and pre-qualification phase of new product
  • Work with other fabs for customer returns and lesson learnt
  • Applies advanced principles to detect and evaluate reliability issues.
  • Applies advanced principles and past knowledge of reliability to evaluate and act on potential reliability issues.
  • Utilizes Failure mode effect analysis and 8D processes for improving product quality and continuously reducing the quality and reliability failure modes.
