Role Overview

Responsible for leading and delivering transformation initiatives, providing leadership, business coordination and digitalization of processes to improve the quality and effectiveness of delivering a project across the CRO. Ensure projects are customer-focused and well-governed. Regularly report to the steering committee on the progress of project. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO), the PM will closely work with different CRO Teams, IT and other departments as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the transformation initiatives including preparation of project plans, identifying and coordinating resources, monitoring budgets, and meeting governance and reporting requirements to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope.
  • Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realization, project impacts, outcomes and measures to ensure the success of the project.
  • In consultation with ETO Manager, monitor the allocation of resources to ensure the achievement of strategic deliverables whilst maintaining a high level of service for BAU activities.
  • Work in consultation with BU’s within CRO regionally to ensure projects are implemented successfully and with the aim of improving the quality and impact of services provided. 
  • Ensure appropriate governance and risk frameworks are utilized to ensure project success.
  • Use established standardized PM methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks. 
  • Ensure consistent tracking of project performance, risks, dependencies, and benefits realization. 
  • Ensure alignment between project outcomes and business objectives. 
  • Proactively identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies, bottlenecks and risks.
  • Foster strong collaboration across global and regional teams. 
  • Ensure stakeholder readiness, communication, and adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Project and Test (including Data Migration) Planning.
  • Staff Training and Communication coordination (as required).
  • Coordination of Project daily/weekly standups and SME meetings.
  • Participation in regular ETO meetings.
  • Upload project timesheets as required into PSA system.
  • In conjunction with ETO Manager, develop and overall view of change that supports decision making around project delivery timing due to the impact on key stakeholders
  • Lead change management, communications and adoption activities.

  • Successful delivery of transformation initiatives. 
  • Optimized and standardized business processes. 
  • Improved operational efficiency and stakeholder experience. 
  • Successful adoption of new systems and ways of working. 
  • Conduct System Review (together with IT) and able to assess key risks (and document key controls required), while going through process changes
  • Project Vendor Contracting, Evaluation and attending their meetings
  • Review and prioritize Jira Tickets / Enhancements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Life Sciences or related field; MBA preferred 
  • 7-10 years of experience in project management, transformation operational excellence or consulting with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role 
  • Significant Project Management Experience working in complex, multi-functional organizations 
  • Experience in CRO, Biotech or similar regulated environment preferred. 
  • Strong ability to read and interpret relevant legislation, regulations and local policies
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) 
  • PMP, PgMP, or Agile or equivalent certification preferred

  • Global or regional project management / Transformation experience will be a big bonus
