Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact. We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.
Hitachi Energy Grid Integration support customers in creating stronger, smarter, and greener grids adapted to meet the needs of the changing power landscape. Our system solutions are designed and delivered to provide the highest lifecycle value with the lowest risk. The Project Manager leads the execution of medium to large-size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.
How you'll make an impact:
You will be leading the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones, provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects. You will define, jointly with the Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.
You will ensure that the project follow execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies, effectively monitor and control project progress and efficient resource utilization, monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
You will identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks, and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued, capture, analyze and share lessons learned throughout the project and ensure that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed, and drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
You will ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements.
You will coordinate with Supply Chain Management and successfully procures required services, materials, equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers and support Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims, and project changes.
You will act as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues, build, maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders, ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
You hold a diploma and bachelor's in electrical engineering experience in Electrical/Transmission Industry.
Minimum 5 years project management experience in Power sectors.
Experience in switchgear planning, design and bidding related tasks and leadership skill to lead project team and managing customer expectations.
Preferably with a PMP qualification.
Good knowledge of substations equipment, protection relays and network automation, knowledge of MS Office, SAP and Microsoft Projects/P6.
Able to work in team and good interpersonal skills, proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication.
