The Project Controller will be responsible for supporting all financial, operational, and strategic aspects of the relocation project as needed. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Project Financial Planning & Budget Control
- Develop and maintain cost control mechanisms for the relocation project, ensuring expenditures align with budgeted estimates.
- Prepare capital expenditure (CAPEX) forecasts and track actual spending against planned budgets, identifying variances and risks.
- Partner with finance and project teams to evaluate cost efficiency strategies, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Support financial modeling for relocation expenses, including one-time costs, operational disruptions, and post-move financial impacts.
Project Cost & Risk Analysis
- Conduct variance analysis on relocation-related expenses (e.g., infrastructure, machinery transfer, workforce transitions) and propose cost control measures.
- Identify potential financial risks associated with site transition (e.g., unforeseen costs, timeline overruns, vendor changes) and work with leadership to develop mitigation plans.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Develop and present weekly and monthly financial reports on relocation progress, including CAPEX utilization, project milestones, and EBIT impact.
- Work with Plant Managers and Manufacturing Leadership to assess operational efficiency during the transition phase.
- Establish KPIs to monitor cost control, productivity impact, and financial performance during and post-relocation.
Capital Asset & Inventory Management
- Track and control capital investments related to facility construction, equipment relocation, and new infrastructure.
- Oversee the financial impact of machinery transfers, potential write-offs, and revaluation of fixed assets.
Compliance, Audits & Governance
- Ensure strict adherence to financial policies, SOX compliance, and internal/external audit requirements throughout the relocation.
- Partner with finance, legal, and procurement teams to ensure contractual obligations for relocation vendors and service providers are met.
- Maintain detailed documentation of relocation-related expenditures to support financial audits and project governance.
Qualification and Education Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in project controlling, financial planning, or cost management within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Strong expertise in CAPEX management, cost analysis, and variance reporting for large-scale projects.
- Experience in relocation, facility expansion, or infrastructure projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in SAP, Hyperion, or other financial reporting tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally between finance, operations, and project leadership teams
