You will support in managing Scoot’s payment platforms and maintain their full working capacity by working closely with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, Revenue Accounting, Distribution, Customer Ops) and external payment partners to ensure payment solutions are reliable, compliant, and continuously improved.

Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Product Ownership (Payments Squad)

  • Manage the payment-related features, enhancements, and BAU items across Scoot’s payment platforms.

  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the squad.

  • Maintain and prioritise the payments backlog, ensuring work items are well-defined and ready for delivery.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g. backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews) and support delivery tracking.

2. Payment Issue Resolution & Operational Support

  • Gain a strong understanding of Scoot’s payment acceptance flows, platforms, and integrations.

  • Support investigation, triage, and resolution of payment-related issues impacting customers or internal teams.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external payment partners to ensure issues are addressed within agreed timelines.

  • Clearly document issues, root causes, and resolutions, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

3. Payments Project & Initiative Delivery

  • Support requirements gathering for new payment methods, enhancements, or regulatory changes.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (IT, Revenue Accounting, Distribution, Customer Ops) and external partners (PSPs, gateways, acquirers) during implementation.

  • Assist in managing delivery milestones, dependencies, and testing activities to ensure quality and timely release.

  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-release validation.

4. Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Review existing payment processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or customer pain points.

  • Propose practical improvements to payment flows, controls, or operational processes.

  • Track and follow up on outstanding actions to ensure continuous improvement initiatives progress as planned.

  • Build domain knowledge in payment regulations, compliance considerations, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1-2 years of working experience are welcome to apply.
