QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or Engineering, Information Systems, or adjacent degree and relevant work experience.
5 years related experience, including a minimum of 3 years in product management or product design, with a focus on software products and technologies
Strong understanding of agile practices including backlog management and prior experience working with Project Management; deep prior experience managing and directing vendor relationships
Knowledge of UX / UI and consumer research best practices as it relates to successful product development
Knowledge of camera tracking, LiDAR, GPS, RTK technologies preferred
Ability to use script languages a plus
Understanding cloud-based architecture required
Extensive golf knowledge and interest in golf required; preferred knowledge in PGA TOUR events and scoring
Ability to manage multiple products and meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to high-quality work product that meet PGA TOUR brand and fan standards
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
As a member of the Golf Technology team, responsible for the growth, support, and delivery of the PGA TOUR’s ShotLink execution onsite, the underlying infrastructure that supports scoring, broadcasting, marketing, tournament operations that ensures quality data deliver for scoring, broadcasting, marketing, tournament operations and other teams as required.
Define product vision, strategy, and milestones; manage the design and implementation of applications (hardware and / or software) across suite of ShotLink services
Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to develop digital and physical products and services; works closely with developers, vendors, designers, and end users to continually improve product and advance product roadmap
Manage overall product roadmap, communicate milestones and value drops, proactively engage with stakeholders for continuous feedback loop
Lead development of product including software and hardware, taking milestones from larger organization and leadership, distill into meaningful applications and experiences that satisfy TOUR priorities
Partners with the project management team to ensure all work is delivered on time
Act as the ‘voice of the user’ for scoring tech, tournament producers, scoring officials, tournament staff to build tools that support their work, using end user requirements to drive feature implementation and optimization
Engage technology and field teams to help determine the best technical implementation methods and schedules
Prioritize the product backlog by looking at potential value of the work and level of effort
Monitor product KPIs and ensure product goals are being met, identify opportunities product enhancements based on results
Evolve product strategy based on research, analytics and industry trends
Optimize procedures and facilitate testing to adapt to new technology and/or standard procedures in collaboration within Golf Technology and other teams.
Perform User Acceptance Testing and provides product sign-off/approval prior to implementation, including responsibility for product quality across manufacturing where appropriate to ensure success of operations teams.
Translate end user needs into tangible applications, utilizing user research to validate business requirements
Advocate for use of current and upcoming technologies, understand when to implement new and when to upgrade current
Build strong relationships across golf technology and adjacent departments; effectively collaborate and influence laterally and to leadership
