Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Product engineering serves as the central technical resource collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, technical support, installation, quality, marketing, part supply chain, and field as the product(s) move through the Product Life Cycle. This role will coordinate and work directly with the aforementioned teams to incorporate beneficial serviceability, part supportability, and service business practice improvements into product serviceability.
- Influence Designers to adopt features that optimize KLA's Service business: Calibrations, Diagnostics, Cost of Service (CoS), Reliability, IP protection
- Coordinate with multi-functional teams to ensure spares support to our customers (SLA)
- Identify gaps or opportunities for improvement, quantify the savings/benefits and implement CIPs to deliver performance at lower costs
- Create and track documentation, Field Service Bulletin (FSB), and Tech Talks along with Engineering Change Order (ECOs) and Field Change Order (FCOs)
- Support Product Life Cycle, Service Readiness Reviews (SRR), and Phase Exits. Along with Product Service Reviews (PSR) and Service Business Reviews (SBR)
- Develop innovative projects to improve overall service experience of eBeam technical and customer support engineers
- Oversee Volume and Mature eBeam tools – Escalation support, part obsolescence, and bridging gap between field service engineers and division
- Detail technical work and create best known methods (BKMs) on released products.
- Detail any improvements need to knowledge data or systems.
- System level Troubleshooting experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with eBeam and Ultra High Vacuum technology
- eDRXX and Ranger knowledge base are preferred
- Knowledge of Mature product lines (eCD/8xxx, eS3x, eS8x, etc) is an added plus
- Experience with project management is a plus
