Job Description

Salary range: SGD 9,300 - 12,400 SGD per month + RSUs

We’re looking for a Product Compliance Manager based in Singapore to join our growing APAC Wise Platform team, to support building new and improving existing products for our Wise Platform partners in a compliant way. This role is hands-on, a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission and help save millions more people money. 

Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Through Wise Platform, banks, Fintechs and other enterprises can integrate with our platform and offer Wise’s industry-leading international payments products to their customers.

This is a first line Product Compliance role, embedded in the APAC Product Squad. Your scope will include:

Creating and improving our amazing products for partners in a compliant way: 

  • Deeply understand regulatory needs, translate this into solutions and work with our Product teams to enable compliant product innovation and commercial viability with partners.

  • Perform regulatory analysis of new products and partnerships ensuring proper controls are implemented before launch.

  • Assess local regulatory requirements in APAC markets to influence our product roadmap and feasibility of new partnerships.

Regulatory risk and remediation:  

  • By understanding both the Wise product deeply enough and the local regulatory expectations, support the Wise Platform team on how to interpret regulatory requirements, improve our products and partnerships to avoid regulatory breaches and/or incidents.

  • Collaborate with second line Compliance and Risk teams to identify and align on the main regulatory issues and risks for APAC Wise Platform. Present this in a very clear and understandable way to the wider teams, to work with them on defining the solutions and how this should be executed. 

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Build best-in-class products that are compliant for our regulators and partners.

  • Influence and be a part of Wise Platform’s APAC commercial and product strategy.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • At least 6 years experience in regulatory and/or financial crime compliance within a financial technology company; added bonus if focused on correspondent banking, remittance, financial services partnerships across APAC markets.

  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively.

  • Great prioritisation skills to balance compliance needs with business growth in a high-speed environment.

  • Problem solving attitude, with the ability to use regulation together with data to drive business decisions.

  • A natural owner that drives and delivers projects to completion proactively, timely and with attention to the details.

Nice to have:

  • A team player with a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders such as Product, Commercial teams and Compliance.

  • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate and provide practical, actionable, and value added recommendations.

  • Willingness to travel, as Wise offices are located across different countries.
