The Process Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplined engineering team responsible for producing state of the art microfluidic products for applications in the life science industry. This role involves developing, setting up, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure high product quality, yield, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead process setup, validation, optimization, and continuous improvement activities for manufacturing operations.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts to monitor process capability, identify trends, and drive corrective actions.
  • Support material qualification and change management, including supplier materials, alternate materials, and process inputs.
  • Drive yield improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, data-driven problem solving, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Troubleshoot product and process issues, collaborating cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Maintain relevant technical documentation and generate reports for changes to process, material and equipment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager in support of business and operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline with 0–3 years of relevant experience OR Diploma in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Relevant experience from life sciences, medical device, or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Good understanding or hands-on exposure to SPC, DOE, and process data analysis.
  • Awareness of ISO 13485, GMP, or regulated manufacturing environments is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn structured troubleshooting methodologies like A3, Fishbone or 8D.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment for extended hours as required.
