About the Role
You will be the primary Quality authority driving the excellence of our External Manufacturing (EM) partners. In this role, you will be the key person to the Operations EM team, ensuring that our Subcontractor (Subcon) base scales effectively while maintaining world-class quality standards. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and supplier execution, serving as a strategic technical partner to both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

What You Will Do
Quality Strategy & Execution

  • Drive Supplier Performance: Take full ownership of the quality performance for released BE Subcons, proactively identifying risks and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Audit Leadership: Lead and orchestrate audit plans in strict accordance with Nexperia and customer requirements, ensuring all Subcons remain compliant and high-performing.
  • New Subcon Onboarding: Partner with the business to qualify new Subcontractors, providing expert assessment of their quality systems and production processes.
  • Approval Authority: Evaluate and provide technical approval for new Subcons to ensure they meet Nexperia’s rigorous quality ecosystem standards.

Technical Subject Matter Expertise

  • Systems Improvement: Identify gaps in current supplier management quality systems and lead projects to modernize or improve these frameworks.
  • Customer Representation: Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Subcon quality during customer engagements, translating complex technical requests into actionable supplier goals.
  • Primary Liaison: Act as the central communication hub between customers and the EM team regarding technical quality issues, requests, and resolutions.

What You Will Need
Education & Experience

  • Academic Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Physics, or Chemistry.
  • Industry Experience: Extensive experience in Semiconductor manufacturing (BE Assembly & Test highly preferred).
  • Cross-Border Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with international teams and suppliers across Europe and Asia without direct reporting lines.

Technical & Regulatory Mastery

  • Expert Standards Knowledge: Deep, hands-on expertise with automotive and industrial quality standards, specifically IATF 16949, ISO 9001, AIAG (APQP, PPAP, FMEA), and VDA (6.3/6.5).
  • Analytical Prowess: Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a mastery of root-cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5-Why).

Core Competencies

  • Linguistic Fluency: Fluency in English and Chinese (spoken and written) is mandatory to interface effectively with our global sites and Asian manufacturing partners.
  • Influence & Negotiation: Exceptional negotiation skills; ability to influence external partners and internal stakeholders to prioritize quality and compliance.
  • Communication: Highly developed interfacing skills, capable of representing Nexperia professionally in front of major global customers.
