Job Description

As a part of our global research unit, our Singapore team’s focus is on the domain of sustainability. Our team explores the use of Artificial Intelligence to accelerate the Bosch’s transition towards a circular economy. Key application areas are design, manufacturing, energy optimization, recycling, supply chain optimization.
Embodied AI Agent is an emerging field of research that enable the integration of AI with robotics to create intelligent system that can perceive, act, and collaborate in a dynamic environment. In the field of Product End-of-Life (EOL) Management, the concept of AI agent could be integrated to enhance disassembly automation and support humans during the tasks, contributing to the circular economy and promoting sustainability.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in developing and validating agent-based system for collaborative disassembly technologies. The successful candidate will be working at world-class laboratories in NTU and Bosch.

Qualifications

  • Singaporean or PR (to be eligible for EDB-IPP program).
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (w/ AI and programming background). 
  • Fulfill the National University of Singapore (NUS) PhD programme requirements. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curious, self-motivated, team player, and a passion to tackle real-world problems via research.
  • Relevant research experience in the field of artificial intelligence, data science, robotics, knowledge graph, smart manufacturing and industrial automation.
  • Familiarity with computer vision, multi-modal AI models, AI agent, software architecture design and/or robotic task and motion planning is a plus.
  • Strong coding skill in Python and familiarity with semantic technologies, graph databases, and software engineering best practices.
  • Basic understanding of large language models (LLMs) and AI-based data extraction methods
  • Strong academic record, with at least one publication in top-tier conferences or peer-reviewed journals (preferred).
  • Fresh degree holders with excellent academic results are also encouraged to apply.
