We are looking for a Perfumer to join our Singapore Creative team to create new fragrances for regional and international markets, using combination of raw materials to meet specific aesthetic and technical customer requirements.

What you will contribute

What an incredible opportunity to be a part of a rich heritage of bringing now-classic fragrances to life.  As Fine Fragrance Perfumer, you will be responsible for below 4 key areas: 

1. Creation (80%)

  • Win with the consumer preferred signatures on Regional Projects, Mission critical or Must Wins projects in collaboration / individually
  • Leverage IFF's classic portfolio on wins 
  • Wins with IFF preferred ingredients and optimized formula (target set by category) 
  • Integrate IFF new Captives in their Signatures and Wins 
  • Build and Strengthen creative network to accelerate business growth

2. Commercial and Customer Intimacy (15%) – Focus on Perfumer to Perfumer or customer collaborations.

  • Visibility with Key and Strategic customers 
  • Ability to develop creative insights, articulate and communicate effectively 
  • Build relationships and trust 

3. Innovation (5%) – Provide support on innovation projects.  

  • Manage and support on innovation projects regionally 

4. Leadership – To start to demonstrate by personal example leadership in specific IFF initiatives such as portfolio simplification, catalogue etc. 

Job Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Master's or Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Fragrance or any other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of Perfumery track record and International experience in the Fragrances industry.
  • Business Acumen with high customer orientation 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact or communicate across all level
  • Good organizing and problem solving skills 
  • Solid communication and presentation skills 
  • Exceptional Olfactory evaluation skills of natural essential oils and aromatic perfumery materials 
  • Training as an organoleptic evaluator is preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of raw material composition, chemistry and application technology 
  • Knowledge in industry regulations 
  • Fluency in English mandatory for managing of work projects, capability to communicate in French language for assigned portfolio is considered an advantage
  • Able and willing to travel across the Greater Asia region
