iCapital is seeking a People Partner to help manage our Asia expansion. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of large-scale growth objectives as we expand the company’s workforce in Asia and further enhance our global HR function. The successful candidate will be one of the first points of contact in APAC throughout employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding, employee experience and engagement, employee relations and total rewards. This role will seek to deliver an exceptional employee experience and will be a trusted partner to our stakeholders. 

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working globally, passionate about HR, able to navigate through ambiguity, align HR processes with business objectives and is empathic and connects easily with other people. This role contributes to operational excellence while supporting Company objectives through day-to-day HR operations. The right candidate should demonstrate regional experience in working successfully with headquarters. 

This role will be based in Hong Kong or Singapore and will report to the Senior Vice President, People, who covers our International team. The position will require travel to other countries, as necessary. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide support on HR services, such as performance review, employee engagement, data analytics and DEI activities.
  • Support managers and employees to drive alignment with company policy, best practice, and current legislation.
  • Act as the liaison between employees and Benefit team.
  • Coordinate with immigration counsel to ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, including maintaining accurate employee records and managing work permits and visas.
  • Keep abreast of in-country regulations and trends pertaining to APAC employment matters, partnering with legal counsel where appropriate.   
  • Work closely with the finance and payroll teams to manage external payroll providers.
  • Assist and support recruitment activities as and when needed.
  • Contribute to the implementation of HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion programs, and employer branding campaigns 

 

Qualifications 

  • 6-8+ years’ experience in Human Resources as Business Partner; ‘specialist’ HR knowledge such as talent acquisition, total reward and/or employee relations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of APAC labor law and regulations.
  • Understanding of talent market in Finance, and/or Fintech spaces.
  • Hands-on mentality and the desire to constantly learn and grow.
  • Experience working for a global and matrixed organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills across all levels and an understanding of when to raise issues.
  • Passion for customer service and creating an amazing experience for every employee.
  • Demonstrate high degree of professionalism and ethics.
  • Experience with end-to-end management of employee data and manual spreadsheet, ensuring data integrity is maintained.
  • Proven ability to drive things through completion, be proactive and pragmatic.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicant tracking systems, compensation planning systems, and MS office tools (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English required– both written and verbal.
  • Able to travel as required
