As a Payment Monitoring Specialist, you will oversee real-time client transactions, resolve payment issues, and support fraud prevention and compliance efforts. Working closely with PSPs, banks, and internal teams, you’ll ensure smooth payment operations and adherence to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor real-time client deposits and withdrawals across all PSPs, acquirers, and payment channels
- Investigate failed transactions, delays, or anomalies; liaise with PSPs, banks, and internal tech teams to resolve issues
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports on PSP performance, failure reasons, and emerging trends
- Support clients with deposit and withdrawal issues in collaboration with the client accounting team
- Assist fraud prevention and compliance teams by flagging suspicious or unusual transaction patterns
- Maintain monitoring dashboards and configure alerts for downtime, high decline ratios, or abnormal payment behaviors
- Contribute to onboarding and testing of new PSPs, payment methods, and routing strategies
- Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure adherence to AML, PCI DSS, PSD2, and local regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, IT, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in payments monitoring, PSP operations, or back-office within a brokerage, fintech, or financial services company
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret payment data and identify trends
- Familiarity with CFD/FX brokerage operations and common payment challenges (e.g., chargebacks, high decline rates, regional payment preferences)
- Experience working with multiple PSPs, acquirers, and card schemes
- Basic understanding of compliance requirements relevant to card acquiring, including AML, PCI DSS, and PSD2
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and escalation management skills
