At Carta, our employees set out on a mission to unlock the power of equity ownership for more people in more places. We believe that the problems we solve today unlock the opportunities of tomorrow. As a Partnerships & Business Development Intern, you’ll work to bridge the gap between early-stage founders and the essential equity management tools they need to scale. You will act as a force multiplier for our AMEA leadership, ensuring our venture partners are supported and our "Carta Launch" program reaches the next generation of unicorns. Specifically, you will:
- Optimize Ecosystem Flow: Help vet and route inbound partnership requests to ensure high-value venture capital and accelerator relationships are prioritized and nurtured.
- Scale the Launch Program: Solve the challenge of program awareness by identifying and engaging with startup communities to introduce Carta’s early-stage founder tools.
- Enable Data-Driven Decisions: Conduct deep-dive research and prepare executive briefing notes that allow leadership to enter partner meetings with a strategic advantage.
- Reduce Operational Friction: Improve the partner referral experience by auditing documentation and streamlining the payment processing workflow.
- Bridge GTM Strategy: Support the broader Go-To-Market team in identifying new pockets of innovation across the APAC, Middle East, and Africa regions.
You’ll be joining our APAC, Middle East & Africa (AMEA) Sales & Partnerships Team. This team is the engine behind Carta’s expansion into some of the world's most dynamic and fastest-growing startup ecosystems. We are responsible for building the infrastructure of ownership by forming strategic alliances with VCs, law firms, and incubators. Our work directly impacts how thousands of international founders manage their cap tables and valuations from day one.
About YouWe are looking for a curious, high-energy individual who is obsessed with the "why" behind the startup economy. You are someone who doesn't just want to see how a SaaS company operates, but wants to actively participate in building a venture ecosystem. You should have:
- Ecosystem Curiosity: A deep interest in the mechanics of venture capital, startups, and how technology companies scale across international borders.
- Strong Communication Foundations: The ability to synthesize complex information into concise, professional briefing materials for senior leadership.
- Organizational Agility: A knack for managing multiple moving parts—from coordinating high-level stakeholder meetings to tracking referral data—without losing attention to detail.
- A Proactive Mindset: The "owner" mentality required to identify friction in a process and suggest ways to fix it before being asked.
- Availability: Capability to commit to a full-time, 3–6 month internship based in Singapore (Hybrid: Tuesday–Thursday in-office).
Technical Aptitude: A fast learner's approach to tools; while not required, an interest in mastering CRM and research platforms like Salesforce or PitchBook is a plus.
