The Business Support team currently sits within DigiOps Department in GXS Bank and provides operational support for the Bank in Treasury and Settlements, Payment and Reconciliation, Cards and Lending and Invest Operations. We are looking for a Lead Operations Specialist who will primarily be focused in the area of Treasury and Settlement Operations. Apart from that, he/she will also be the Team Lead for the Business Support team in Singapore and will oversee an outsourced shared service center in Malaysia covering various banking operations.

What will you do?

  • Be our subject expert in Treasury and Settlement functions within Business Support team.
  • Oversee and execute the day-to-day Treasury and Settlement functions which includes Treasury settlement, cash and liquidity forecast as well as other product payment/settlement with external parties.  
  • Ensure day-to-day operations comply with the regulatory and internal requirements
  • Lead a team of 3-4 personnels in Business Support team in Singapore.
  • Provide oversight of our outsourced shared service center covering functions in banking operations which include Cards and Lending Operations, Invest Operations, Reconciliations and ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including but not limited to Treasury, Customer Success Teams to leverage on technology to drive high degree of digitalisation in the operational workflows, thereby improving automation rate and productivity.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate operational risks and close out any process gaps
  • Support the build of new product and services within Operations in the Bank.
  • Participate in the roll out and testing of new systems or tools

The must haves:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Treasury Operations.
  • In addition to Treasury Ops, knowledge and experience in other banking operation functions will be beneficial
  • Good knowledge of MEPS+ and SWIFT
  • Good prioritization skills and ability to multitask
  • Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and operating in a fast-changing, unstructured environment
  • Willingness to learn new products and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent Google G Suite tools
  • Process oriented with good problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to details and good organizational skills
