The Operations Engineer will support trading and post-trade systems, manage complex deployments, and utilize monitoring tools in a Linux environment.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Approximately 5 years of experience in the financial services supporting trading and post-trade systems.
- Experience managing complex deployments and environments
- Experience supporting applications in a Linux environment
- An understanding of monitoring and incident management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
Essential
- Experience with application monitoring systems such as NetData or DataDog
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira
- ITIL certification or equivalent incident management training
- An understanding of the FIX protocol
TECHNICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Essential
- Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
