This role ensures product quality in new product development by supporting projects through the NPD Stage Gate Process, coordinating with engineering and suppliers, leading qualification and inspection activities, and driving continuous process improvements.

  • Responsible for supporting multiple global New Product Development Projects through the NPD Stage Gate Process
    • Solid understanding of NPD Stage Gate Process
    • Assures all Quality Assurance NPD deliverables and activities are understood / completed
    • Actively participate in NPD Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) meetings / activities
    • Collaborate with Design Engineering to define measurement methodology for critical dimensions and specifications (incorporate into Receiving Inspection documentation)
    • Supplier Quality - Work with vendors to assure there is a solid understanding of requirements
    • Lead product Qualification efforts (include components, materials, and vendors)
    • Lead Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and support Design FMEA (where applicable)
    • Prepare Control plans, inspection documentation and Quality Plans.
    • Facilitate PPAPs and Customer Approvals
    • Support NPD activities as assigned
    • Assure the successful transition of new products into production
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of processes and procedures
  • Supplier Quality Management – conduct supplier audit for NPD components (where applicable).
  • Training and communication – Train internal team and supplier on quality standard, inspection criteria and NPD quality requirements. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on quality expectations.
  • Additional duties & responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
