Job Description
An exciting opportunity to join Corporate & Investment Bank Payments Financial Institutions Group Sales Team.
As a Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) and Fintech Sales Associate within the Payments team, you will play a crucial role in bolstering and facilitating business growth among NBFI & Fintech clients. Your responsibilities will include promoting and ensuring flawless implementation of the growth strategy (inbound/outbound) for ASEAN. You will be required to provide necessary support across various NBFI industry verticals, which will involve close collaboration with NBFI & Fintech Sales in other countries in the ASEAN and broader Asia Pacific region, and other regions. Prior knowledge and experience in various NBFI or Fintech industry verticals will be advantageous.
Job responsibilities

  • Assist Sales to put together comprehensive account plans/ research materials/ client analysis/client proposals for identifying strategic opportunities. Also, assist Sales to manage and keep the client profile updated along with data analysis/statistics enabling business growth.
  • Help drive the projects/ initiatives of strategic focus for Malaysia and other ASEAN markets, including but not limited to conducting research/ preparing client presentation/participating in end to end internal review and approval process.
  • Establish strong rapport with extensive network of internal partners to provide connectivity across the firm and promote cross regional collaboration
  • Prepare for Global Account planning discussions and participate in internal planning and market review conversations, in support with data to sales in generating insights for both short and long term business development and strategies.
  • Support Sales in client onboarding activities including but not limited to client due diligence in accordance with J.P. Morgan's internal guidelines in Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Clients; onboarding approval process; timely updates of pricing & billing structures and efficient implementation process for new and existing clients.
  • Liaise closely with Client Service & Implementation team in new account opening and products setups for new and existing clients as to ensure accurate and timely implementation.
  • Handle new and update pricing setup at timely manner, and conduct post setup check to avoid client impact.
  • Handle pipeline management, maintain accurate information and facilitate Sales on required deal governance processes and proper documentation filing is in good order per internal guidelines.
  • Assist Sales in promoting an effective operative risk environment including but not limited to (1) accurate and timely new onboarding/renewals and completion of Know Your Clients and other internal reporting and /or approval requirements (2) managing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Request for Information database and status tacker (3) work with clients and internal teams on AML related matters as to smoothen the compliance investigations and screening.
  • Assist Sales to organize and coordinate client events (forums/ roundtables) and communication to promote and strengthen J.P. Morgan's franchise. Coordinate client events hosted for NBFI clients including invitations delivery, event materials preparations such as presentation deck and contents, marketing printouts, etc. appointment with speakers, etc.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong drive and rigor to ensure all facets of the business and portfolio succeed
  • Excellent communication and analytic skills
  • Strong team player who will work collaboratively with Global, and Regional stakeholders within the firm including Global Corporate Bank, Securities Services, Markets, Investment Banking, Investor Client Management and other Commercial and Investment Bank colleagues.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong understanding of diverse NBFI industry verticals including Fintech and the Payments Sales function
  • Strong understanding of Payments products/solutions (Cash, Liquidity, foreign exchange, information management) that are relevant to NBFI clients
