We seek a passionate IT Ops Intern to work closely with our Overseas IT and various business teams. This position will promote OIT products & events by unlocking the potential of digital graphic technology. Our IT team aims to provide the best DAY 1 experience for new Tencent employees and daily experience for all users.
About the Role:
As a Network Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our internal IT teams and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Tencent Cloud) to support cloud network operations, security, and performance optimization. You will gain hands-on experience in network automation, troubleshooting, and multi-cloud networking while collaborating with global teams and gaming studios.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing network tools and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Support the implementation and configuration of cloud and on-premises network solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues using tools like iPerf, network monitoring platforms, and logging systems.
- Document network configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers on cloud networking projects, including VPCs, direct connects, and security policies.
- Engage in technical support and resolve network-related incidents for internal teams.

Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, Firewalls).
- Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, Tencent Cloud) is a plus.
- Experience with network automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
- Knowledge of network monitoring and security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, Flowlog) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn.
- Bilingual (English & Chinese) preferred to communicate with global teams.
