Role Overview

The primary goal of the Multilingual Safety Content Contributor (Malay Singapore) is to generate text prompts, source corresponding open-domain images, and provide contextual safety explanations tailored for the Singapore market. You will ensure that all generated content is accurate, culturally relevant, and aligns with project safety guidelines. 

Project Details:

- Contract Duration: Start Date (Dec 1 or when hired) to January 23
- Work Type: Freelance - Remote
- Work Hours:
Minimum hours required per week: 20
Maximum hours allowed per week: 40
- Work Schedule:
Minimum of 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday,
OR
2 hours Monday to Friday + 10 hours over the weekend
- Attendance: Reliable, consistent daily/weekly commitment is mandatory.
- Hourly rate: 25 USD

Key Responsibilities

  • Prompt Generation: Create highly creative, meaningful, and culturally relevant text prompts (1 or 2 sentences) that reflect genuine safety issues.
  • Image Sourcing: Source open-domain images that directly align with the prompt and make the content unsafe according to project guidelines.
  • Cultural Safety Explanation: Write concise, clear explanations detailing why the content (prompt + image) constitutes a safety issue within the specific cultural context.
  • Prompt Translation/Adaptation: Translate the culturally adapted English prompts into Hindi, Tamil, or Singaporean Malay.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all generated content is accurate, culturally appropriate, and strictly adheres to project safety guidelines.

  • Cultural Insight: Exceptional ability to identify and articulate safety-related scenarios from a cultural viewpoint.
  • Creativity & Research:
  • ○ High Creativity: Ability to generate novel, non-obvious prompts that challenge AI safety models.
    ○ Strong Search Skills: Proficiency in using search engines to quickly locate suitable open-domain images.
  • Writing Excellence: Excellent command of English and the target language, with the ability to formulate clear, concise, and impactful queries and explanations.
  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Google products, specifically Google Drive and Google Sheets, for data entry and collaboration.
  • Experience (Plus): Previous experience in content creation, data annotation, prompt formulation, or safety analysis is a significant advantage. 

Required Fluency and Cultural Familiarity

  • Native or professional (C1/C2 level) in both English and the target language.
  • Cultural Familiarity: Strong, demonstrable familiarity with the cultural nuances, social norms, and real-world safety concerns specific to the target market (India and/or Singapore).
