This is a 12-month contract opportunity with one of Arctiq's clients. It's a remote position within Canada, working Central Standard Time (CST)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mobile Application Developer and Support Analyst to join the SAP Operations and Enterprise Analytics team. This role creates, tests, and implements SAP software solutions that meet business needs, working closely with the development team, Functional Consultants, and other technology areas. You will support the client's SAP systems and related applications, and provide leadership in the development of new SAP mobile solutions. Strong ownership, sound judgment, and effective communication are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support, operation, and maintenance activities relating to the client's SAP systems and other related applications
- Support custom development and SAP module customization, including break/fix and updates
- Design, develop, and implement customizations in accordance with client and SAP development standards
- Provide leadership in the development of new SAP solutions
- Design and develop mobile applications using SAP MDK on SAP BTP
- Build MDK pages, actions, rules (JavaScript), OData services, and UX logic
- Customize and extend MDK apps using JavaScript rule-based logic
- Implement offline-first functionality and synchronization rules
- Design, build, and deploy Fiori applications and extensions
- Develop backend extensions using SAP CAP (Node.js or Java)
- Create and maintain HDI containers and database artifacts on SAP HANA Cloud
- Publish and manage applications via SAP Mobile Services
- Configure destinations, roles, authentication (OAuth, SAML), and security policies
- Implement native device integrations, including camera and photo capture, GPS/location services, barcode/QR scanning, and file uploads and annotations
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize MDK applications
- Perform unit testing and collaborate on UAT activities
- Ensure compliance with corporate security, usability, and accessibility standards
- Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in computer technology or a related field
- SAP certification in BTP, MDK, or Mobile Services
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP MDK, SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), and SAP BTP Mobile Services
- Proficiency in creating MDK pages, rules, and actions, integrating with OData services from SAP S/4HANA, and managing offline synchronization
- Proficiency in JavaScript, SAP Fiori design, and mobile app deployment (iOS and Android)
- Experience designing, building, and deploying Fiori applications and extensions
