Description

Grounded in a talent-centric mindset, Maker Lab is a marketing agency designed to build decentralised technology-led agency teams, rooted in collaboration with clients from the ground up. Maker Lab’s cross-functional teams of multidisciplinary specialists are embedded into client teams across digital marketing competencies — from measurement & analytics to content production.

Role Summary:

As a marketing manager for the Greater China region, you'll design and execute marketing campaigns using our client's partner ecosystem. Your focus will be in driving growth, demand generation, and brand awareness through localisation and channel optimisation. This pivotal role requires collaboration with internal teams, external agencies, and partners.

Role:

  • Design and implement scalable, partner-first marketing programs and campaigns to generate high-quality leads and elevate brand presence, ensuring all programs align with commercial objectives.
  • Develop and deploy comprehensive, multi-channel marketing campaigns (including digital, paid media, webinars, content syndication, and events) in conjunction with ecosystem partners, often leveraging their channels for broader reach.
  • Equip partners with enhanced marketing capabilities, providing essential toolkits and continuous support to facilitate effective onboarding and activation.
  • Tailor all campaigns, content, and events specifically for APAC, accounting for local channel preferences, linguistic nuances, and cultural sensitivities.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, lead generation, return on investment, and overall market influence, utilising these insights to refine and improve programs.
  • Develop, localise, or coordinate marketing assets (such as case studies, webinars, online guides, and social content) to support partner and demand generation efforts.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution.
  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for partners, fostering close coordination with Partner Marketing Managers, Channel Sales, and agency partners for cohesive execution and reporting.

You:

  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B channel, partner, or ecosystem marketing, ideally within the tech or SaaS sectors.
  • Extensive practical knowledge of digital marketing platforms and channels specific to Greater China (e.g., WeChat, Douyin/TikTok, local paid media, industry events).
  • Demonstrated success in creating and launching channel/partner marketing campaigns that achieved measurable business outcomes.
  • Fluent or near-native in Mandarin Chinese, with proficiency in Cantonese and English being a plus.
  • Robust project management capabilities, including the ability to navigate complex situations and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with and empowering external partners, such as marketing agencies or managed service providers.
  • Highly independent, proactive, and action-oriented.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to converting insights into practical strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of local compliance, advertising regulations, and business customs
  • Prior experience leading partner marketing initiatives in a global or regional setting.
  • Established connections within the Greater China Region (GCR) partner and agency landscape.
