Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Market Development and Partnerships Intern who will support market expansion across Southeast Asia. What you'll do:

As a Market Development and Partnerships Intern your key area of responsibility will be building market intelligence, identifying partnership opportunities, developing an early-stage sales pipeline, and coordinating sales and partner activities across Southeast Asia. You will need to work closely with Business Development Managers, Channel teams, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams, as well as communicate with external partners and prospective customers. To be successful in this role you will be a proactive, organized, and customer-focused self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, listening skills, and the confidence to support conversations with external partners and internal stakeholders. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong research, analytical, and project management skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The opportunity:

How you'll make an impact:
  • Identify and document prospective customers, external partners, relevant industry events, and market opportunities for Geotab.

  • Support outbound prospecting through email, phone, LinkedIn, events, and other appropriate channels.

  • Qualify leads by gathering information about business needs, fleet requirements, decision-makers, timing, and potential fit.

  • Support the development of relevant messaging and follow-up plans for prospects and potential partners.

  • Nurture early-stage leads through timely follow-up and coordinate qualified meetings or introductions with Business Development Managers and Channel team members.

  • Support partner outreach, relationship mapping, meeting preparation, follow-up, and action tracking.

  • Communicate professionally with external partners, event organizers, prospective customers, and other market contacts.

  • Assist with sales presentations, partner briefings, demonstrations, events, and customer or partner calls as required.

  • Maintain accurate prospect, partner, activity, and pipeline information in Salesforce or other approved systems.

  • Prepare research summaries, market updates, pipeline reports, event recommendations, and other materials to support regional sales planning.

  • Coordinate projects and timelines across internal teams, ensuring actions, owners, and deadlines are clearly documented and followed up.

  • Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, partner priorities, and campaign performance to support continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, Channel, and other cross-functional teams to support lead-generation and partner-growth initiatives.

  • Develop a working knowledge of Geotab's products, Geotab Marketplace, target fleet applications, and the business objectives of customers and partners.


What you'll bring to the role:
  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelors degree or post-secondary program in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Communications, International Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education/experience).

  • 0 - 1 years of experience in related areas with an interest in sales development, partnerships, channel sales, technology, or business growth.

  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, and project management skills to handle multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the confidence to communicate professionally with external partners and internal stakeholders; additional Southeast Asian languages are an asset.

  • Customer-focused approach with strong listening skills, the ability to build rapport, and comfort explaining technical/business concepts to different audiences.

  • Technical competence using Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides); experience with Salesforce or another CRM is an asset.

  • Proactive, dependable, and willing to take initiative while seeking guidance when needed.
