Role Overview:
Provide daily hands-on support to shop floor personnel to help facilitate problem-solving and process improvements related to production or development labs.
Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing skills and interpret blueprints to facilitate component manufacturing processes.
Utilize various design and analytical software to support and improve manufacturing processes.
Advance and develop manufacturing planning, processes and work instructions.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to improve product quality, increase throughput, and reduce manufacturing costs.
Collect and analyze data from manufacturing processes to drive short- and long-term actions that support production.
Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to identify waste and support decision-making processes.
Manage project plans related to manufacturing changes and collaborate with various functions to drive action and project closure.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a high-performing engineering graduate who is eager to be hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, applying strong analytical skills, Lean thinking, and clear communication to drive process improvements and support safe, sustainable aerospace production.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related Engineering school
Minimum 3.8 cumulative GPA off a 5 scale without rounding
Preferred Qualifications
Desire to be hands-on in a manufacturing environment
Respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn
Shares critical information, speaks with honesty, contributes constructively
Quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed, and takes initiative
Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative teamwork

Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop floor environment around various machine tools and equipment
Previous Internship or experiences in a related field is considered an asset
Demonstrated commitment to community and/or university involvement
Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
