For more than 40 years, our advanced facilities in Singapore have led aerospace innovation across Asia Pacific. From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview:

  • Own all technical issues relating to the product/process, eg. product and process yield rates, etc.

  • Perform process trials, analyse data and produce write-ups on the trials.

  • Prepare technical specifications for the purchase and upgrading of relevant equipment.

  • Implement New Product Introduction (NPI)s, new coating and welding processes into production.

  • Generate Work Instructions and Operating Procedures.

  • Ensure that all relevant processes comply with quality requirements, conduct investigations and implement corrective actions as required.

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to improve equipment utilization and labour efficiency and reduce operating costs through Lean initiatives.

  • Conduct Risk Assessments and ensure that relevant processes are operated in compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety Regulations and Policies.

  • Conduct training and certification for relevant technicians.

  • Familiar with using lean concept to drive continuous improvement and productivity in the processes.

  • Familiar with Lean concepts

  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

  • Acts as a resource for newly joined colleagues with less experience. May co-lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.

  • This candidate should possess strong operational and engineering skills and exhibit consistent level of maturity and competency in achieving KPI successes.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have a strong passion in repair works within a MRO environment and is able to demonstrate good skills in troubleshooting issues when the need arises. The candidate should also exhibit strong skills in project management and teamwork building.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in either Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from a local or internationally recognised university.

  • Candidate with 2 years of experience within Aerospace industry is preferred.

  • Candidate with a background in manufacturing or production would be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
