GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview:

  • Design/develop/substantiate/implement new repairs.
  • Ensure internal shop documents are kept current with the latest repair documents and flow changes to appropriate personnel.
  • Generate, change/update OP sheets, routers.
  • Track or collect data on yield and identify opportunities to improve yield; conduct new material tryouts;  review process for improvements.
  • Conduct salvation reviews.
  • Raise and follow thru with Departure Records approval, work with REDO or GEAE engineers to enhance tech issue resolution process.
  • Provide work scope for customers, draft responses to customers’ queries.
  • Investigate and answer QPR/CARs.
  • Where applicable, act as subject matter expert to design and develop appropriate OJT for shop CRTs.
  • Engagement in lean, bullet train activities; lead cluster activities.
  • Up-to-date technical/engineering documents and new business opportunities for company.
  • Ensure up-to-date manuals are deployed for use – compliance.
  • Proper flow down of technical operating documents for CRT use.

  • Ensure proper technical qualifications are completed for either transitions in or out of GE Aerospace.

  • Skills development & enhancement for shop CRTs.
  • Support business productivity & cost efficiency drive efforts

Ideal Candidate

The Ideal candidate has experiences in the shop floor manufacturing environment as a product engineer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace
  • Related Engineering fields 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment will be an advantage
  • Aviation maintenance repair and/or overhaul environment preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
