Manufacturing Engineer 1

Why This Role Matters

As a Manufacturing Engineer 1, you’ll be hands-on in improving how products are built. You’ll work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and support smooth daily operations. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy problem-solving on the shop floor and apply Lean thinking to real manufacturing challenges.

What You’ll Do

· Be on the shop floor daily supporting production activities and solving manufacturing issues in real time.

· Design and improve assembly processes, create clear work instructions, and train operators using standardized work principles.

· Perform High-Level Assembly (HLA) and work confidently with assembly drawings and procedures.

· Apply Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, cycle time, takt time, waste reduction) to improve efficiency, quality, and flow.

· Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by helping launch new products smoothly into production.

· Investigate quality issues, perform Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), and drive permanent fixes.

· Evaluate products and collect data to support process improvements and engineering decisions.

· Coordinate line changes and equipment moves, from setup to process readiness.

· Maintain engineering tools and fixtures, including preventive maintenance and records.

· Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction ideas—your ideas matter here.

· Work safely and responsibly, following all safety, health, and security policies.

What You’ll Bring

· Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or related Engineering field.

· At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

· Basic hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.

· Curiosity and willingness to learn on the shop floor.

· Good communication skills and the ability to work well with operators, engineers, and supervisors.

· A continuous improvement mindset — always asking, “How can we do this better?”
