 About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and Dedicated Senior Revenue Accountant/Manager – Revenue to join the Aviatrix Finance team in India. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in billing and revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements. This role is critical in overseeing the billing operations and ensuring accurate revenue reporting. As a front-line Manager, you will be responsible for managing billing inquiries, recalculating monthly Customer billings for our Homegrown billing engine throughout the month, and conducting checks and billing variance analysis working alongside IT. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding and experience in MYSQL, Advanced Excel, and BI (Business Intelligence).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Billing Operations Management:
    • Ensure timely and accurate billing processes.
    • Develop and implement best practices for billing operations and revenue recognition.
    • Oversee the preparation and distribution of invoices to customers.
    • Resolve billing discrepancies and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Revenue Recognition:
    • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, ASC 606, and other relevant accounting standards.
    • Review and approve revenue recognition entries and adjustments.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Analyze revenue data and provide insights to senior management.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for billing and revenue recognition processes.
    • Conduct regular training sessions for team members on billing and revenue recognition practices.
  • Compliance and Audit:
    • Ensure all billing and revenue recognition processes comply with SOX requirements.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in billing and revenue recognition, with a strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606.
  • Strong proficiency in MYSQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, Vlookup, and complex formulas.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ASC 606 standards.
  • Experience in a Big 4 is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience working with billing systems or ERP platforms is a plus.
