This is a hands-on regional role for someone who combines strong accounting and audit expertise with sound judgement, an improvement mindset and the ability to work effectively across multiple markets and stakeholder groups.

What You Will Do
  • Oversee RTR and month-end close activities performed by the outsourced finance team, including review of journal entries, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, financial results and balance-sheet movements, ensuring unusual or aged items are investigated and resolved.

  • Review and challenge accounting deliverables, provide technical guidance and coach the outsourced team to improve quality and capability and act as an escalation point for complex or unresolved accounting and close matters.

  • Manage statutory and tax matters across ANZ, Thailand and selected Singapore investment holding entities, with regional oversight of India.

  • Manage statutory reporting and the annual statutory audit process for assigned entities, including the preparation and filing of statutory accounts, supporting schedules and resolution of audit queries.

  • Oversee corporate income tax and other relevant tax compliance, including review of tax computations and provisions and coordination of accurate, timely filings with internal Tax teams and external advisers.

  • Maintain a strong control environment, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, identify control gaps, and support timely remediation, closure of audit findings and escalation of material risks.

  • Identify and drive opportunities to simplify, standardize and improve finance processes.

  • Support automation, finance transformation, process transitions and other regional projects.

  • Build effective relationships with regional and local Finance teams, external auditors, tax advisers and other key stakeholders.

What You NeedEssential
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, together with a recognized professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent.

  • Approximately 7–9 years of relevant experience, ideally including 5–6 years with a Big Four or other reputable public accounting or audit firm, together with a strong foundation in financial accounting, statutory reporting and external audit.

  • Solid RTR/controllership experience with a good understanding of end-to-end financial close and reporting.

  • Experience in statutory reporting and tax compliance, preferably across multiple APAC jurisdictions.

  • Relevant experience in Australia and exposure to other APAC markets.

  • Ability to review and challenge accounting deliverables and provide guidance and coaching to an outsourced finance team.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proactive and improvement-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Please note that this role is based in Singapore. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the Singapore immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in Australia  for the duration of the employment.

Preferred
  • Experience in a multinational or regional Finance environment.

  • Exposure to Australia, India and/or Thailand statutory and tax matters.

  • Experience working with outsourced finance service providers.

  • Experience in process improvement, finance transformation or process transitions.

  • Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, automation, data analytics or workflow tools.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting and audit background combined with practical RTR/controllership experience. You should be comfortable reviewing and challenging the work of an outsourced finance team, managing statutory and tax requirements, and working across multiple markets and stakeholders.
