Manager, Corporate Finance (1 year contract)

Support corporate finance team managing a diversified portfolio of private companies, public equities, and fund commitments. Perform portfolio monitoring, financial analysis and valuation (DCF, IRR, comparables), prepare management reports and dashboards, reconcile fund reports, assist with corporate actions and compliance, and coordinate with Legal and Investment teams.

We are seeking a Manager (contract) to support our team in managing a diversified portfolio of investments across private companies, public equities, and fund commitments. This role involves a combination of portfolio monitoring, financial analysis, and operational support, including maintaining internal reporting systems, and reviewing financial and management information. The candidate will also work closely with internal stakeholders such as Legal, and Investment teams on portfolio-related matters, including transaction execution, compliance, and corporate actions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with portfolio optimisation initiatives for private companies.
- Perform general administrative duties such as preparation of management reports, maintenance of internal dashboards and reconciliation of fund reports.
- Monitor the performance of public portfolio companies and assisting the Corporate Finance team with corporate actions and compliance with public exchange regulations.
- Monitor and provide updates on EDBI’s portfolio of funds and direct investments, including reviewing management/ financial reports received periodically.
- Assist in assessment of investments and valuation, including review of financial forecasts and assumptions, scenario analysis, waterfall construction, DCF, IRR analysis, comparables assessment.
- Assist in managing SGGC portfolio, including attending to portfolio company meetings and attending to portfolio matters
Requirements
- Degree in Finance or Business with working knowledge in finance
- Good understanding of venture capital/ private equity investments or experience in dealing with legal matters/ policies will be useful
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent relationship management capabilities
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
