Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger postings, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, accruals, and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform period‑end accounting close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
- Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules; assist with variance analysis and provide explanations as required.
- Support the maintenance of internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders on audit, statutory filings, and accounting matters.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including coordination with operational departments and analysis of actual versus budget performance.
- Provide guidance and on‑the‑job support and development to junior accounting staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification preferred (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within hospitality, real estate, or multi‑unit service industries
- Audit background or experience working closely with external auditors is a plus
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with hands‑on accounting operation experience
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain accounting matters clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
- Candidates with less experience will be considered for Senior Accountant position
