What you will do:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Management Consulting Manager with expertise in the insurance industry, including product strategy and development, distribution, underwriting, claims, operations, and pricing. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record as a Business Analyst, Subject Matter Expert (SME), Business Architect, Project Manager, or Test Manager. As a key member of our consulting team, you will play a pivotal role in leading client engagements, managing complex projects, and delivering strategic solutions that enhance business performance, optimize processes, and drive innovation in the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Leadership & Engagement: Lead client relationships, managing expectations and delivering high-value solutions across various areas of the insurance business, including product strategy, development, distribution, underwriting, claims, operations, and pricing.

  • Strategic Consulting: Provide expert guidance on designing, implementing, and optimizing insurance product strategies, including product development roadmaps, market positioning, and distribution models.

  • Operational Improvement: Analyze current operational processes within underwriting, claims, and pricing, and develop strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.

  • Project Leadership & Delivery: Oversee the full project lifecycle, from defining project scope and strategy to managing project execution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely results.

  • Change Management: Support clients in implementing new business strategies, products, and processes while managing organizational change, ensuring successful adoption and alignment with business goals.

  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with senior leadership, operations teams, and subject matter experts to ensure seamless integration of project outcomes into day-to-day business operations.

  • Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Lead requirements gathering sessions, work closely with clients to understand business needs, and create detailed functional and technical specifications.

  • Technology & Systems Integration: Collaborate on systems and technology solutions, ensuring alignment between business processes and technology infrastructure for underwriting, claims, and distribution channels.

  • Mentorship & Team Development: Lead and mentor junior consultants and business analysts, fostering a collaborative team environment and ensuring the development of high-performing teams.

  • Industry Knowledge & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, advising clients on best practices, regulatory changes, and innovations within the insurance sector.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Insurance, or a related field; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on the insurance industry.

  • Knowledgeable or background experiences in the areas of product strategy, development, underwriting, claims, pricing, and distribution.

  • Expertise in insurance operations, product development, pricing strategy, underwriting, and claims management.

  • Strong project management skills, including experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams and complex initiatives.

  • In-depth knowledge of insurance market trends, regulatory frameworks, and technology solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable strategies.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior executives and stakeholders.

  • Technical proficiency in systems integration and knowledge of core insurance platforms is a plus.
