The candidate will have a keen interest in financial markets and be responsible for extending coverage for our client base – particularly within Asia Fixed Income.

In the Fixed Income division, we work in fast-paced and constantly changing global markets to assess and manage risk, trade securities, manage relationships with clients, and structure and execute innovative transactions.

The Asia Macro Sales team covers a range of clients from Real Money and Hedge Fund Investors through to Global Macro accounts across FX, interest rates, and Commodities products. The sales team transacts with this diverse set of clients on a high frequency basis across currencies and products (FX, FX options, Bonds, Interest Rate swaps, interest rate options, government bonds etc.) The sales team represents the firm in front of clients and work very closely with internal stakeholders including traders, structurers, and research analysts to provide best in class coverage and execution to external and internal clients.

The role is based in Singapore, working in the Asia Macro Sales Team. The role will require a fast-learning, dynamic, pro-active and self-motivated person to assist the team in performing day to day tasks which include: client coverage, growing our franchise, trade execution and other ad hoc work.

This role requires an individual who likes to work in a high intensity environment with a steep learning curve given the broad and fast moving nature of the macro markets. The basic skills required for the role are the ability to learn quickly, willingness to work hard and thrive in a high intensity working environment with tight deadlines.

Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Account Coverage: coverage of accounts - coordinating and liaising internally and externally on account needs, increasing breadth and intensity of coverage
  • Regular Market Color Update/Daily Tasks: preparing regular market update/trade ideas, updating trading axes, positioning, and flow report
  • Execution and Post-trade Processing: assist in trade execution and post-trade processing – ensuring trades correctly matched and recapped

What you’ll bring to the role:

We are looking for a confident and outgoing person, who has exceptional attention to detail and is proactive in taking on challenges. We are looking for someone who has the hunger and passion to learn more on markets and a strong desire to succeed in the role.

  • Passion for markets and hunger/desire to learn more and succeed is critical
  • Minimum 5 years of experience/exposure in markets will be valuable – in interest rate products and foreign exchange
  • Excellent communication skills are a pre-requisite given the nature of the role
  • Attention to detail and ability to solve problems, follow up and complete tasks
  • Degree Level Education
