As a Lombard Credit Officer, you are responsible for the analysis and underwriting of Lombard credit proposals/approvals. This includes monitoring of daily excesses, handling of exception requests/transactions and ensuring that proper risk standards and documentations are implemented in line with policies.You will work closely together with Front Office to assess the risk associated with the request/transaction and deliver sound Lombard solutions. The role combines risk oversight with operational excellence, requiring close collaboration within Credit Asia, Front Office and other stakeholders.YOUR CHALLENGE
Core Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of accounts covering end-to-end processes including monitoring, exceptions handling, and credit documentation checks
- Evaluate and underwrite/approve credit applications for Lombard and Insurance loans/overdrafts, issuance of guarantee, margin trading in foreign exchange, exchange traded and OTC within delegated credit approval authority for new/increased and annual reviews in a timely manner
- Review/assess portfolio in monthly risk reports, quarterly stress test and adhoc reports to identify high risk accounts and escalate for discussions with Front Office on risk mitigants to minimise credit loss
- Maintain a close partnership with Front Office, Legal, IT Ops, Compliance and other support functions to facilitate client-centric solutions while ensuring compliance with group risk appetite, credit policies and guidelines
- Collaborate with legal and external counsel to engage/review legal opinion related to Lombard credit transactions/non-standard documentation
- Contribute to the improvement of processes, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and credit risk management

Professional and Technical
- At least 3-5 years banking experience preferably in Private Banking Credit Risk environment
- Sound understanding of the private banking business including Lombard credit, PB investment products and insurance financing etc.
- Good knowledge of end to end credit processes
- Ability to take quick, independent credit decisions and work under pressure
